About Louise – The Woman Behind the Shoes

I have always loved shoes, not just any shoes but the kind that instantly make you feel confident the moment you slip them on. For me, the perfect pair is not just about fashion; it is about how they make you feel, carry yourself, and perform through a long day.

From early on, I was drawn to Italian leather shoes, the craftsmanship, the heritage, the deep respect for quality that runs through every product. The legacy of Italian fashion houses, their master artisans, and the commitment to exceptional materials has always inspired me. There is something deeply special about shoes that are handmade; they tell a story of tradition, time, pride and care. At Louise M Shoes, we continue that legacy as our shoes are crafted by skilled Italian artisans using traditional methods passed down through generations, combined with modern shoe making technology.

During my 21 years experience in the airline industry, including 17 years as a flight attendant for major Australian carriers and 4 years as a Qantas Customer Service Agent at Perth Airport, I relied on high quality footwear to get through long hours on my feet. Those shoes were more than just a uniform requirement, they were a source of support, performance, confidence, and professionalism. But finding shoes that were both beautiful and practical was often a challenge.

That is why I created Louise M Shoes, to give women in professional and uniformed roles access to feminine, fashionable, and functional footwear they are proud to wear. Whether you are in the air, at the front desk, in the boardroom, or on the move, I believe you deserve shoes that elevate not only your outfit but your entire day.

When I could not find what I was looking for in Australia, I travelled to Europe, attended international shoe fairs, and met with manufacturers until I discovered the right partner in Italy. That is where the Louise M footwear brand was created, with a vision to deliver everyday luxury that is as high quality, as it is comfortable and elegant.

Now, as we transition from retail to wholesale partnerships, that same mission remains at the heart of what we do. We now collaborate with corporate and uniformed organisations to deliver premium, customisable footwear solutions that enhance team image, comfort, productivity, and wellbeing.

It is a joy to hear from clients who tell me their Louise M shoes have changed how they feel at work, that they no longer dread a day in heels. In fact, they forget to take their shoes off at the end of the day. That is why I started this journey, and it is why I am so passionate about continuing it.
